An efficient method for the preparation of aryltriethoxysilanes fromarenediazonium tosylate salts has been developed, which expands the substrates of rhodium-catalyzed silylation from iodides, bromides, and triflates to diazonium salts. A new method for hydrodediazoniation has also been explored.
