We engineered, graphene based Pd -Nano composites (Pd/RGO) and tested them to catalyze the Heck reaction
in [bmim] NTf2 solvent system. High yield, easy product isolation, recycling of the catalytic system and ligand free approach
are the main outcomes of this proposed protocol. The proposed protocol was further exploited for the successful
synthesis of 3-styryl coumarins in good yield.

The diastereoselective conjugateaddition of secondary homoallylamines, obtained in the enantioenriched form via allylmetallation of imines, to α,β-unsaturated esters is reported. This method allows access to valuable building blocks as well as heterocyclic skeletons, providing tertiary amines bearing two chains integrating a stereogenic center adjacent to the nitrogen atom.

The moderate nucleophilicity of the axiallychiralaminosulfonamide (S)‐1 suppresses the problematic side reactions, including aldol reactions, in the asymmetricMannichreaction of N‐Boc‐protected imines with aldehydes. The corresponding adducts are obtained in good yield and excellent stereoselectivity (see scheme; Boc=tert‐butoxycarbonyl, Tf=trifluoromethanesulfonyl).
The present invention relates to novel compounds that are useful for inhibition and prevention of cell adhesion and cell adhesion-mediated pathologies. This invention also relates to pharmaceutical formulations comprising these compounds and methods of using them for inhibition and prevention of cell adhesion and cell adhesion-mediated pathologies. The compounds and pharmaceutical compositions of this invention can be used as therapeutic or prophylactic agents. They are particularly well-suited for treatment of many inflammatory and autoimmune diseases.
