Imidazolidin-4-one derivatives of primaquine were synthesized as potential double prodrugs of the parent drug. The title compounds inhibit the development of the sporogonic cycle of Plasmodium berghei, affecting the appearance of oocysts in the midguts of the mosquitoes.
