Two isomeric series of bulky naphtho‐fused 7‐deazapurine nucleosides were prepared and shown to exert moderate cytostatic and antiviral activity and interesting fluorescent properties. The 2′‐deoxyribonucleoside triphosphates were substrates for KOD XL DNA polymerase.
