A low dielectric constant material is provided for use as an insulation element in an electronic device, such as but not limited to an integrated circuit structure for example. Such a low dielectric constant material may be formed from an aqueous fluoropolymer microemulsion or microdispersion. The low dielectric constant material may be made porous, further lowering its dielectric constant. The low dielectric constant material may be deposited by a spin-coating process and patterned using reactive ion etching or other suitable techniques.

A polyol-crosslinkable fluororubber composition comprises 100 parts by weight of polyol-crosslinkable fluororubber ; 0.5 to 10 parts by weight of a perfluoroalkane represented by the general formula F(CF2)2nF (n : 5~30), a 1H-perfluoroalkane represented by the general formula F(CF2)mH (m : 10 ~30), or a mixture thereof ; 0.5 to 2 parts by weight of basic magnesium aluminum hydroxycarbonate hydrate ; and 1 to 5 parts by weight of an acid acceptor compound excluding Ca compounds. The fluororubber composition can simultaneously attain improvement in preservation stability of compounds, prevention of compounds from adhesion at the time of kneading, short-time vulcanization, improvement of mold releasability at the time of vulcanization molding, prevention of contamination with metal ions and reduction in adhesiveness of crosslinking products due to increase of crosslinking density without substantially impairing the normal state physical properties or compression set characteristics and further advantage-ous properties inherent in the fluororubber, and contains no calcium compounds causing contamination of HDD.

Presently described are components of a spray application system. At least one component comprises a liquid repellent surface layer. The liquid repellent surface (e.g. layer) may comprise a porous layer and a lubricant impregnated into pores of the porous layer; a fluoropolymer; a fluorochemical material and an organic polymeric binder; or a fluorochemical material melt additive and a thermoplastic polymeric material component. The component is typically a liquid reservoir, a liquid reservoir liner, a lid for a liquid reservoir or liner, or a combination thereof. In some embodiments, the component comprises a thermoplastic polymeric material. In some favored embodiments, the component is a removable liquid reservoir or liner. In some favored embodiments, the component is a collapsible liquid reservoir or liner. The spray application system typically further comprises a gravity-fed spray gun. Also described are spray application systems, methods of using a spray application system, as well as methods of making a component of a spray application system wherein the component has a liquid repellent surface.
