  Die Produkte aus Cotarnin und Hydrastinin mit CH‐aciden Verbindungen konnten als ringgeschlossene 5‐substituierte Derivate in ihrer Struktur gesichert werden. Bei der Umsetzung der Carbinolamine mit Acetanhydrid erfolgt in jedem Fall eine Ringöffnung, wobei das beschriebene cyclische „O‐Acetylcotarnin”︁ als ringoffene Acetylcotarninessigsäure identifiziert wurde.

  Cotarnine 和hydrastinine 与CH-酸性化合物的产物的结构可以作为闭环的5-取代衍生物得到保证。当甲醇胺与乙酸酐反应时，总是会发生开环，所描述的环状“O-乙酰基可沱宁”︁ 被鉴定为开环乙酰基可枳酸。
