    An immunoassay‐based method was used to screen numerous combinations of dipoles and dipolarophiles for their ability to undergo chemoselective and biocompatible [3+2] cycloaddition reactions. The approach fulfills most of the requirements of the click concept and led to the discovery of a copper‐catalyzed reaction that generates pyrazoles from sydnone and alkyne reagents.

    The synthesis of rare macrocyclic alkynediyl sulfides by a Cu‐catalyzed Csp−S cross‐coupling is presented. The catalytic protocol (Cu(MeCN)4PF6/dtbbpy) promotes macrocyclization of peptides, dipeptides and tripeptides at ambient temperature (14 examples, 23→73 % yields) via thiols and bromoalkynes, and is chemoselective with regards to terminal alkynes.     (1-Pyrenyl)butadiyne derivatives 5 and 6 with a methylene chain and a L-alanine moiety as a chiral group were synthesized, and the end group of 5 and 6 was ethyl ester and carboxylic acid, respectively. These compounds could be polymerized in the crystals by UV irradiation at 365nm. The regular solid-state polymerization was confirmed for 5 although 6 showed irregular polymerization. Their nanoaggregate water dispersions were obtained by the reprecipitation method. Morphology of their nanoaggregates was studied by SEM, and helical nanoribbons and circle domains were observed for 5 and 6, respectively.
