    Chemiluminescent Autoxidation of a-Silyl Carbanions Derived from 9-Silyl-10-methylacridanes
    摘要:
    The autoxidation of alpha-silyl carbanions derived from 9-trimethysilyl- and 9-triphenylsilyl-10-methylacridanes (1a and 1b) produced the fluorescent N-methylacridone (NMA) accompanied by weak chemiluminescence. Differences in the chemiluminescence quantum yields and the time course of the light emission were detected between the reactions of la and 1b, which was due to the substituent on the silicon atom. Additionally, the 9-trimethylsilyl-10-methylacridinium salt also underwent a chemiluminescent reaction when reacted with alkaline hydrogen peroxide. It is probable that these chemiluminescent reactions would proceed via the Peterson-type reaction and involve the dioxasiletanide-like species during the reaction pathway.

    The present invention provides a composition and a method both for treating or preventing atopic dermatitis effectively. Provided is a composition which contains an acetylcholine inhibitor, e.g., an anticholinergic substance, as an active ingredient. Also provided is a method which includes a step of administering an acetylcholine inhibitor such as an anticholinergic substance. The detailed mechanism of the development of atopic dermatitis has not been elucidated so far. Therefore, it has been difficult to treat atopic dermatitis effectively. The composition according to the present invention can treat atopic dermatitis effectively through the inhibition of the action of acetylcholine.

    The reaction of 9-phosphorylacridines with aqueous hydrogen peroxide provides weak chemiluminescence, whose emission efficiency depends on the structures of the phosphorus groups. The bulky substituents in the phosphorus groups increased the chemiluminescence quantum yields, which can be explained by assuming that the present chemiluminescence reaction involves a CIEEL process via phospha-1,2-dioxetanes as the high-energy intermediates.

    A method for growing bone cells. In one aspect, the present invention provides a method for growing bone cells, comprising the steps of (a) anodizing a titanium substrate to form an array of titanium dioxide nanotubes on a surface of the titanium substrate, (b) subjecting the anodized titanium substrate to a radio frequency plasma discharge to chemically modify the array of titanium dioxide nanotubes formed on the surface of the titanium substrate, (c) seeding bone cells onto the surface of the titanium substrate that has an array of titanium dioxide nanotubes thereon after the subjecting step, and (d) incubating the seeded bone cells for a period of time effective for the cells to grow and proliferate.
