  The recently developed (cyclohexylsulfonylamino)oxazoline (CHAOx) ligand was found to provide high ee's and consistent reaction rates in the asymmetric diethylzinc addition to benzaldehyde over a remarkably large loading range of 0.05-10 mol%. Turnover numbers of 1000-2000 can be explained by the absence of a nonlinear effect and the formation of a catalytically active monomer complex.   text] 1,3-Azole derivatives of 2-aminocyclohexanecarboxylic acid represent a new class of bidentate ligands for metal-mediated catalytic asymmetric synthesis. N-[2-(4-Isopropyl-4,5-dihydrooxazol-2-yl)cyclohexyl]methanesulfonamide (6) is particularly well suited for the addition of alkylzinc reagents to aliphatic aldehydes in high enantiomeric excess.
