Remarkable deprotection of THP and THF ethers catalysed by cerium ammonium nitrate (CAN) under neutral conditions
摘要:
The catalytic deprotection of a range of functionalised THP and THF ethers can be efficiently performed, under neutral conditions, using as little as 3 mol% CAN in MeCN/borate buffer (pH = 8). (C) 1999 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.

Under suitable reaction conditions, monoalkylation of triethyl phosphonocrotonate 11 could be efficiently accomplished, leading to the preparation of a-substituted phosphonates 15. The reaction is totally regioselective and completely (E)-selective. The novel phosphonocrotonate 19 underwent smooth Horner-Emmons condensation, producing a key-precursor for the synthesis of the middle core of the manzamine alkaloids. (C) 2002 Elsevier Science Ltd. An enantioselective addition reaction of various alkyl groups to unactivated internal alkenes under Cu catalysis has been developed. The reaction uses amide-linked aminoquinoline as the directing group, 4-alkyl Hantzsch esters as the donor of alkyl radicals, and rarely used biaryl diphosphine oxide as a chiral ligand. β-lactams featuring two contiguous stereocenters at Cβ and the β substituent can
