The present application discloses heteroaromatic and heterobicyclic aromatic derivative compounds and compositions, and methods for treating ferroptosis-related disorders and diseases in patients using the compounds and compositions as disclosed herein.
The invention relates to novel compounds for use as inhibitors of NLRP3 inflammasone production, wherein such compounds are as defined by compounds of formula (I) and wherein the integers R1, R2 and R3 are defined in the description, and where the compounds may be useful as medicaments, for instance for use in the treatment of a disease or disorder that is associated with NLRP3 inflammasome activity.
Presently provided are inhibitors of cellularly expressed TDO2 and pharmaceutical compositions thereof, useful for modulating an activity of tryptophan 2, 3 dioxygenase; treating immunosuppression; treating a medical conditions that benefit from the inhibition of tryptophan degradation; enhancing the effectiveness of an anti-cancer treatment comprising administering an anti-cancer agent; and treating tumor-specific immunosuppression associated with cancer.
