The chemical structure of the novel monoterpene 1, named ‘linden ether’ and isolated from linden honey and the blossoms of lime tree (Tilia cordata), was studied by two-dimensional NMR spectroscopy, by high-resolution MS as well as by hydrogenation experiments and by GC on a chiral phase.
