This synthetic method relies on the coupling of peracetylated azidoglycosyl isothiocyanates and fully unprotected amine-functionalised growing oligomers. Deacetylation of the hemiacetylated thiourea adduct and reduction of the azido groups allow entry into a new coupling cycle.
