Culture filtrates of Fusarium monoliforme contain 16α-hydroxy-(−)-kauran-19-al (8) and 16α-hydroxy-(−)-kauran-19-oic acid (9)-two diterpenoids related to the intermediates in the biosynthesis of gibberellins.
