Treatment of heteroaromatics with BPO and CF3CO2H in cycloalkanes at 100 °C for 4 h generated C–C bonded heteroaromaticbases bearing cycloaklyl group in good yields under transition‐metal‐free conditions.

PPh3/NaI driven photocatalytic decarboxylative cyclization of 2-isocyanobiaryls with alkyl NHP esters was developed. This simple protocol afforded a novel and environmentally friendly approach to furnish 6-alkyl phenanthridines in good yields.

A very simple procedure for photodecarboxylation of intact carboxylicacids leading to alkanes is developed with use of aza aromatic compounds as light absorbers and t-BuSH as a hydrogen donor.

Herein, we have developed visible-lightphotoredox-catalyzed decarboxylating carboxylic acids for alkylation of heteroarenes under mild conditions. The transformation occurred smoothly without the requirement of stoichiometric oxidants in the presence of 0.3 equiv of base, which benefited from the release of hydrogen (H2) and carbon dioxide (CO2). Various substrates and functional groups were tolerated
