    Isothermal Calorimetric Titrations on Charge-Assisted Halogen Bonds: Role of Entropy, Counterions, Solvent, and Temperature
    摘要:
    We have conducted isothermal calorimetric titrations to investigate the halogen-bond strength of cationic bidentate halogen-bond donors toward halides, using bis(iodoimidazolium) compounds as probes. These data are intended to aid the rational design of halogen-bond donors as well as the development of halogen-bond-based applications in solution. In all cases examined, the entropic contribution to the overall free energy of binding was found to be very important. The binding affinities showed little dependency on the weakly coordinating counteranions of the halogen-bond donors but became slightly stronger with higher temperatures. We also found a marked influence of different solvents on the interaction strength. The highest binding constant detected in this study was 3.3 x 10(6) M-1.

    Provided herein are unsymmetrical bis(azolium) salts, unsymmetrical CCC-NHC metal complexes, and methods of forming the same. The unsymmetrical bis(azolium) salts include a central aryl ring that is substituted with two heterocyclic rings in an ortho, meta, or para fashion. The unsymmetrical CCC-NHC metal complexes include metalated unsymmetrical bis(azolium) salts. The method of forming the unsymmetrical CCC-NHC metal complexes includes reacting a dihalogenated benzene with a first azole to form a mono(azole)benzene, reacting the mono(azole)benzene with a second azole to form an unsymmetrical bis(azole)benzene, alkylating the unsymmetrical bis(azole)benzene to form an unsymmetrical bis(azolium) salt, and metalating the unsymmetrical bis(azolium) salt to form the unsymmetrical CCC-NHC metal complex. Also provided are a bis-ligated CCC-NHC metal complex and an unsymmetrical bimetallic complex.

    We report the synthesis and characterization of four novel CCC—NHC pincer platinum(II) and palladium(II) complexes, which adopt a distorted square planar configuration. These complexes emit bright blue light in the solid state under UV irradiation with emissions that are stable in ambient atmosphere (O2 and H2O) for extended periods. We also report the synthesis and characterization of CCC—NHC pincer ligand nickel complexes, and solid state fluorescence spectra have been collected for two of the complexes reported. X-ray structural analysis of a representative compound exhibits a distorted square planar geometry. Finally, we report the synthesis and characterization of CCC—NHC pincer ligand complexes for abnormal carbens, triazole, and BIA.

    本发明提供一种属配合物制备及其在荧光探针方面的应用。所述配合物的化学式为[Zn(1,3‑BMIB)(NDC)·DMF]n,其中,1,3‑BMIB=1,3‑二(2‑甲基‑1‑咪唑基)苯,NDC=2,6‑羧酸DMF=N,N‑二甲基甲酰胺。所述属配合物是离子通过1,3‑BMIB、NDC2‑配体自组装而成的二维结构,荧光测试表明,丙酮对该属配合物显示出很强的荧光淬灭效果,另外,作为荧光分子探针该属配合物可以有效检测体中的Fe3+、P2O72‑和抗生素呋喃西林(NZF)。
