  A flexible coordination polymer 1 with interdigitated structure has been synthesized from 4,4'-(hexafluoroisopropylidene)bis(benzoic acid) ligand and Cd(2+) salt, whose 3D interdigitated framework displays novel 5-connected BN topology involving both covalent and strong hydrogen bonds.
