An activation energy ray-sensitive composition permitting development with neutral water. Provided is an activation energy ray-sensitive composition characterized by comprising a dispersion which comprises an aqueous solution of a water-soluble resin, and an acid former dispersed in the aqueous solution in the form of fine powder, the acid former being insoluble or sparingly soluble in water and generating an acid by the action of activation energy rays, and an acid-reactive insolubilizing agent dissolved or dispersed in the dispersion and insolubilizing the water-soluble resin by the action of the acid.

A latex paint composition comprises (a) a polymer having interpolymerized units that comprise units derived from styrene, methyl styrene, vinyl, or combinations thereof and units derived from one or more acrylates, methacrylates, acrylonitrile, or combinations thereof, (b) hiding pigment, (c) non-cellulosic thickener, and (d) at least about 0.05 weight per volume percent fluorochemical acrylic polymer additive comprising (1) at least one perfluoroalkyl moiety selected from the group consisting of heptafluoropropanesulfonamido, nonafluorobutanesulfonamido, undecafluoropentanesulfonamido, and tridecafluorohexanesulfonamido moieties and (2) at least one polyoxyalkylene block comprising at least one alkyleneoxy moiety. Also, methods for providing paint coatings with such compositions.

A new series of compounds 3a–f were synthesized from condensation method. Newly synthesized compounds were established by IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, mass spectral and elemental analysis. Synthesized compounds 3a–f were screened for anticonvulsant activity.
