In some embodiments, the composition comprises: a semi-permanent colorant present in an amount of about 10% to about 20% w/w of the composition; a solvent present in an amount of about 65% to about 80% w/w of the composition; and a thickening agent present in an amount of 0.01% to about 0.3% w/w of the composition. In some embodiments, the composition further includes one or more of a film-forming agent, a humectant, and a preservative.

    The invention relates to a method for producing a nanofiber-based product, comprising the steps of providing a carrier material solution comprising a carrier material, and of bringing the carrier material in contact with a collector by electrospinning the carrier material solution out of a spinning device. Thereby, the collector has a first electrical polarity and the spinning device has a second electrical polarity being opposite to the first polarity. According to the invention, the carrier material essentially consists of a polymer being - at least after having contacted the collector - chemically crosslinked with the residue of a crosslinker and/or embedded in a polymer, which polymer is formed by the crosslinker. The crosslinker is chosen from the group consisting of glutaraldehyde, carbodiimide, genipin, photoreactive diazines and a compound according to the general formula (1) wherein wherein R1 is a single bond between the adjacent carbon atoms, or a carbohydrate chain having 1 to 10 carbon atoms and optionally bearing a hydroxy group, the carbohydrate chain being saturated, unsaturated or polyunsaturated, and wherein R2, R3, R4 and R5 are independently from each other a hydrogen; a carbohydrate chain having 1 to 10 carbon atoms and optionally bearing a hydroxy group, the carbohydrate chain being saturated, unsaturated or polyunsaturated; a hydroxy group; or a sulfhydryl group; with the provision that the compound bears at least two hydroxy groups, or two sulfhydryl groups, or one hydroxy group and one sulfhydryl group.     The present disclosure relates to a composition for a crosslinking agent for the preparation of a sensing layer or a diffusion control layer of an electrochemical biosensor comprising genipin or a derivative thereof, in which due to the properties of genipin that can be extracted and used from plants, not only it has high biocompatibility compared to conventional crosslinking agents with high toxicity, but also it can easily confirm the progress of the reaction by measuring UV or measuring the amount of amine groups present when reacting with a compound having an amine group, for example, an electron transport medium, and additionally, it has the advantage of suppressing a rapid decrease in sensor life due to high concentration of glucose while maintaining an appropriate sensitivity to glucose.
