Experimental and computational studies probing the mechanism of neocannabinoid synthesis from cyclic allylicalcohol and substituted resorcinol reaction partners provide understanding of the kinetic and thermodynamic factors driving regioselectivity for the reaction. Herein, we present the reaction scope for neocannabinoid synthesis including the production of both normal and abnormal isomers under both kinetic
Process for the preparation of a plant spumate composition, comprising
(a) soaking plant material in water for a predetermined amount of time at a temperature of from 40°C to 100°C for obtaining an aqueous mixture containing a plant extract and extracted plant material;
(b) generating a turbulent flow condition in the aqueous mixture containing a plant extract at a temperature of from 5°C to 50°C in the presence of a gaseous fluid for obtaining a foam layer containing a plant foam extract;
(c) separating the foam layer from the aqueous mixture; and
(d) drying the separated foam layer for obtaining a plant spumate composition.
A composition and method for insect repellent is provided. The composition in one form has on a weight percentage basis 2-4% α-pinene; 2-4% borneol; 8-10% geraniol; 28-35% linalool; 25-38% linalyl acetate; 1-4% methyl salicylate; 2-4% myrcene; 2-4% para-cymene; 4-8% phellendrene; 1-4% thymol; and 2-4% vanillin. The composition has insect repellent properties.
