There is disclosed a novel class of pyryliums of the 2,4,6-triaryl pyrylium dye class, having two or more of the aryl rings substituted with amino or dalkyl amino groups. These dyes have utility as sensitizers for electrophoto conductive coatings, and as drugs in treating melanoma and differentiated carcinomas in animals.
