  by variously pretreated alumina (1/4 equiv based on the amount of KF) to give a 2-azabicyclo[2.2.2]octane derivative in water (in more than 90% yield). With more catalyst (1 equiv), a potassium salt of the product was formed unexpectedly. Both products released isobutylene to give the corresponding pyridine derivatives.

  丙二腈与丙酮的缩合反应由不同预处理的氧化铝（基于 KF 的量的 1/4 当量）催化，在水中得到 2-氮杂双环 [2.2.2] 辛烷衍生物（产率超过 90%）。使用更多的催化剂(1当量)，出乎意料地形成了产物的钾盐。两种产物都释放异丁烯，得到相应的吡啶衍生物。
