Investigation of the roots and aerial parts of Solidago rugosa afforded the known diterpenes kolavenol, hardwickiic acid, (-)-kaur-16-en-19-oic acid, (+)-manool, (+)-3 beta-hydroxymanool, manoyl oxide and ent-abietic acid.
