An efficient pseudo‐three‐component synthesis of tetraketones is described by one‐potcondensation of 5,5‐dimethylcyclohexane‐1,3‐dione and aldehydes using ZnS nanoparticles at room temperature. This method provides several advantages such as mildreaction conditions, applicability to a wide range of substrates, reusability of the catalyst, and low catalyst loading.

develop a new l-proline-Brønsted acid deep eutectic mixture (DEM)-driven straightforward protocol for the synthesis of (aryl/heteroarylmethylene)bis(3-hydroxy-5,5-dimethylcyclo-hexenone) derivatives with broad functional group compatibility using one-pot consecutive Claisen–Schmidt and Michaeladditionreactions. These derivatives are obtained under very mild reaction conditions with good yields (65–92%)
