Unsaturated acid chlorides react with mono- and di-substituted alkynes to give a mixture of linear (unsaturated β-chlorovinylketones- and β-chloroallylketones), and cyclic (chloro-5-cyclopentenones and alkylidene-4-cyclopentenones) compounds.
