    The enantioselective alpha-arylation of both lactones and acyl oxazolidones has been accomplished using a combination of diaryliodonium salts and copper catalysis. These mild catalytic conditions provide a new strategy for the enantioselective construction and retention of enolizable alpha-carbonyl benzylic stereocenters, a valuable synthon for the production of medicinal agents.

    (EN) The present invention relates to perfume or fine fragrance compositions $i(inter alia) perfumes, colognes, eau de toilettes, and after shave lotions, comprising pro-accord compounds which release their fragrance raw material components on a delayed basis, therefore providing sustained fragrance levels to the user. Typically the pro-accords are comprised of orthoesters, ketals, acetals, orthocarbonates which release two or more fragrance raw materials upon hydrolysis. The present invention also relates to an article of manufacture comprising a first pro-accord containing reservoir and a second fragrance raw material reservoir and a means for admixing and applying the perfume material.(FR) L'invention concerne des compositions de parfum ou de fragrance fine $i(inter alia) les parfums, les eaux de Cologne, les eaux de toilette, et les lotions après-rasage, comprenant des composés pro-accords qui libèrent leurs composantes de matière première de fragrance de manière retardée, ce qui produit des niveaux de fragrance élevés pour l'utilisateur. Généralement, les pro-accords se composent d'orthoesters, de cétals, d'acétals, d'orthocarbonates, qui libèrent, à l'hydrolyse, deux matières premières de fragrance.
