The prepared selenium compounds have been characterized with the help of various spectroscopic techniques viz., NMR (1H, 13C), FT-IR, mass spectrometry. The structure of 6-methoxy-3H-[1,2]diselenolo[3,4-b]quinoline has been determined by X-ray crystallography.
