    摘要:
    A rhodium-catalyzed room temperature C-C activation of cyclopropanol has been demonstrated for the single-step synthesis of a range of electronically and sterically distinct 1,6-diketones. This reaction proceeds efficiently in shorter reaction time following a highly atom-economical pathway. To illustrate the synthetic potential of 1,6-diketones, aldol and macrocyclization reactions have been successfully demonstrated. Preliminary mechanistic studies revealed the involvement of nonradical pathways.

    The syntheses of a number of amines and their derivatives, based on the phenylpiperidine nucleus, are described. Their activities on the rat paw carrageenan test are also reported. Activities comparable to that of phenylbutazone were obtained for some of the amines, notably 4-piperidino-beta-methylphenethylamine.

    New polyimides have been prepared from the reaction of aromatic dianhydrides with novel aromatic diamines containing carbonyl and ether connecting groups between the aromatic rings. Several of these polyimides were shown to be semi-crystalline as evidenced by wide angle x-ray diffraction and differential scanning calorimetry. Most of the polyimides form tough solvent resistant films with high tensile properties. Several of these materials can be thermally processed to form solvent and base resistant moldings.
