Self-assembled multilayer iron(0) nanoparticles (NPs, 6–10 nm), namely, sulfur-modified Au-supported Fe(0) [SAFe(0)], were developed for ligand-free one-pot carbon–carbon/carbon–nitrogen bond-forming reactions.
