We have developed a strategy to transform olefins into homoallylic nitriles through a mechanism that combines copper catalysis with alkyl nitrile radicals. A novel silicon-centred tetrafunctionalised reagent, tetra(2-ethenylcyclopropylmethyl)silane, has been prepared as a mixture of all possible 19 diastereoisomers. It reacts with TMSOTf-activated acetals via initial Prins reaction of the olefin and 'termination' by the cyclopropylmethylsilane groups. A golf ball comprising a core, a cover encasing the core, at least one coating layer encasing the cover, and at least one indicia layer immediate adjacent to the coating layer is provided. At least one of the indicia and coating layers comprises at least one two-part, reactive composition comprising at least one radiation-curable iso(thio)cyanate and at least one isocyanate-reactive chemical.
The present invention includes a composition, system and method for odor neutralization of an air circulation system or an enclosed area. The present invention includes a deodorizing composition for odor neutralization consisting essentially of from about 0.1% to about 2%, by weight of ethoxylated alkyphenol, from about 5% to about 20%, by weight of triethylene glycol, from about 25% to about 40%, by weight of ethanol, from about 1% to about 5%, by weight of ricinoleic acid, from about 3% to about 15%, by weight of water and citric acid.
The (+/-)- and S-isomers of title compound I were prepared via a short and efficient route. The key features of the synthesis were the use of easily accessible materials, operationally simple reaction protocol and highly enantioselective lipase catalyzed esterification for the generation of the required chiron.
