Novel 4-Trifluoromethylthiazole-5-carboxylic Acid as Acceptor in Photosensitized Dyes

Novel photosensitized dyes containing 4-trifluoromethylthiazole-5-carboxylic acid as an acceptor are synthesized. Stilbene-type dyes with this acceptor show high performance as dye-sensitized solar cells. The trifluoromethyl group is assumed to act as a suppressor of electron back-donation from the TiO2 conduction band to the electrolyte and as an accelerator of charge separation in the photoexcited state.
合成出含有4-三氟甲基噻唑-5-羧酸作为受体的光敏染料。含有这种受体的二苯乙烯型染料在染料敏化太阳能电池中表现出优异的性能。三氟甲基基团被认为可以抑制电子从TiO2导带向电解质的反施,并加速光激发态下的电荷分离。
