Synthesis confirmed the structure and absolute configuration of three bicyclic lactones, salinilactones A–C. The salinilactones are structurally closely related to the A‐factor class of compounds, autoregulators from streptomycete bacteria. They exhibited inhibitory activity against Salinispora and Streptomyces
