Tri-n-butyltin hydride reacts with di-n-butyltin difluoride, di-n-butyltin di-chloride, di-n-butyltin dibromide, and di-n-butyltin diiodide in a I:I mole ratio to give the respective di-n-butyltin halide hydrides.
