The synthesis and characterisation of five novel copper (II) complexes incorporating an amido pincer ligand derived from the deprotonation of N-(2-4,4-dimethyl-4,5-Dihydrooxazol-2-yl}phenyl)picolinamide (i.e., L1H) or a chiral indanol-based congener (L2H) are described.
