  The present invention relates to new derivatives selected from the group consisting of: (i) 1-[N-(.alpha.-alkylamino-.alpha.-methylacetyl)aminophenyl]-2-alkylaminopro panones of the general formula: ##STR1## in which R represents a C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl group and R' represents H or a C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl group; and (ii) addition salts thereof. These new derivatives are useful as CNS-active substances, in particular as stimulants and antidepressants. The invention also relates to the method for their preparation.
