report the synthesis and structural characterisation (when L=PBz3 and PPh2Np) of the compounds [Pd(dba)L2] (where L, PPh2Np 1, PPh2An 2, PPhNp23 and PBz34; Np, 1-naphthyl; An, anthracenyl; Bz, benzyl; and dba, dibenzylideneacetone) from [Pd2(dba)3] and the corresponding phosphine. All these complexes with the exception of 4 retain their structures in solution. The 31P-NMR spectrum of 4 is both solvent
