A few compounds in which the nitric oxide (NO) photodonor N‐[4‐nitro‐3‐(trifluoromethyl)phenyl]propane‐1,3‐diamine is joined to the mitochondria‐targeting alkyltriphenylphosphonium moiety via flexible spacers of variable length were synthesized.
