  (EN) Norcamphanyl - substituted pyrans useful as olfactory components of perfume formulations, and having the formula: (FORMULA) wherein the dashed lines represent either a carbon-carbon single bond or a carbon-carbon double bond, and R is either hydrogen or methyl, are prepared by reacting camphene epoxide or 2,2-dimethyl(2.2.1)heptane3-carboxaldehyde with 2-methyl-1-penten-4-ol or 2-methyl-1-buten-4-ol in the presence of an acid catalyst. (FR) Des pyrannes substitues par un reste norcamphanyle utilisable en tant que composants olfactifs dans des formulations de parfums et possedant la formule (FORMULE) dans laquelle les lignes brisees representent soit une liaison simple carbone-carbone, soit une double liaison carbone-carbone et R represente soit un atome d"hydrogene soit un groupe methyle, sont prepares en faisant reagir un epoxy de camphene ou la 2,2-dimethyl(2.2.1)heptane-3-carboxaldehyde avec le 2-methyl-1-pentene-4-ol ou le 2-methyl-1-butene-4-ol en presence d"un catalyseur acide.
