  본 발명은 폴리디자일리톨 폴리머 유전자 전달체(polydixylitol polymer based gene transporter, PdXYP) 및 이를 제조하는 방법에 관한 것이다. 또한, 본 발명은 상기 유전자 전달체에 치료 핵산이 결합된 핵산 전달 복합체 및 해당 복합체를 유효성분으로 포함하는 유전자 치료용 약학적 조성물에 관한 것이다. 아울러, 본 발명은 상기 유전자 전달체, 유전자 전달 복합체 및 이를 이용한 유전자 치료에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 폴리디자일리톨 폴리머 유전자 전달체(PdXYA)는 기존에 존재하는 핵산 전달체들보다 현저히 높은 핵산 전달율을 가지며, DNA와 결합시 결합체의 세포 독성은 거의 없고, 생체 내 형질전환 효율 또한 매우 높으며 무엇보다 그간 혈액 뇌 관문에 의해 유전자 치료에 어려움이 있었던 뇌조직에 대한 형질전환 효율이 현저히 높은 것을 확인하였다. 이에 따라, 본 발명의 유전자 전달체는 실험적인 유전자 전달체의 용도 뿐 아니라, 생체 내에서 다양한 조직에 대하여 이에 결합하는 치료 핵산에 따라 다양한 질환에 대한 유전자 치료 분야에서 폭넓게 사용될 수 있다.
