制备方法与用途

概述

间苯二甲酸二甲酯-5-磺酸钠（俗称三单体）主要用于合成阳离子可染聚酯（CDP），作为其第三单体。这种物质使CDP聚酯纤维对阳离子燃料具有良好的亲和性能，使其可以在常压下进行染色，并且染色后色泽鲜艳、色谱齐全、色牢度高、不易褪色。此外，该产品还具备优良的抗静电性、吸湿性、抗起球性和透气性，穿着舒适。

然而，目前报道的主要生产方法是采用不同浓度的发烟硫酸或三氧化硫对间苯二甲酸进行磺化，再经甲醇酯化、纯碱或火碱中和、精制而得到产品。尽管这种方法可行，但存在一些问题：使用三氧化硫磺化反应剧烈难以控制，导致间苯二甲酸发生焦化；而采用低浓度硫酸磺化则会导致过多残余硫酸，最终产生大量硫酸钠。此外，该生产过程还会生成多种副产物，并且在中和过程中产生的高浓度废水直接排出系统，对环境造成污染。

应用

间苯二甲酸-5-磺酸钠是一种非常重要的精细化工产品，主要用作医药、农药、聚酯的中间体和改性剂。

制备

1. 将高纯度的对苯二甲酸、5-磺酸钠-间苯二甲酸二乙醇酯以及1,4-丁二醇分别置于干燥器中，在130℃下干燥3小时。此时，对苯二甲酸的纯度需达到85%。
2. 将间苯二甲酸与60%发烟硫酸按照重量比1:1混合，并在140℃条件下进行磺化反应10小时。在此过程中，间苯二甲酸与发烟硫酸中的SO3发生反应，生成所需的磺化产物。
3. 将得到的反应产物转移至缩聚釜中，在350℃下于真空条件下搅拌2小时进行缩聚反应。
4. 对中和物料进行离心分离，并收集中和母液。然后将物料用水清洗并再次离心以获得粗品间苯二甲酸二甲酯-5-磺酸钠，同时收集水洗母液。
5. 向粗品间苯二甲酸二甲酯-5-磺酸钠中加入其重量6倍的水，并加热至90℃使物料溶解。随后降温至50℃以下进行结晶操作，收集一次结晶后的母液；重复上述热熔结晶步骤一次，再收集二次结晶后的母液。最后将经过两次结晶精制的间苯二甲酸二甲酯-5-磺酸钠烘干后即得成品。
