We describe a protocol to access quinoline-oxadiazole heterobiaryls. The oxidative (4+2)-cyclization/aromatization tandem reaction of N-aryl heteroaryl methanamines with alkenes or alkynes was realized by copper catalysis under aerobic condition.
A visible-light-induced radical–radical cross-coupling reaction between 1,3,4-oxadiazoles and hydroxamicacid derivatives has been realized under base- and metal-free conditions. The protocol was characterized by broad substrate scope, excellent functional group tolerance, and simple operation procedures.
