An efficient and convenient method has been developed to achieve direct silylation of unactivated remote primary or secondary C(sp3)-H bonds to form C-Si bonds with hexamethyldisilane (HMDS). This method highlights...

The first catalytic alkynylation of unactivatedC(sp(3))-H bonds has been accomplished. The method allows for the straightforward introduction of an ethynyl group into aliphatic acid derivatives under palladium catalysis. This new reaction can be applied to the rapid elaboration of complex aliphatic acids, for example, via azide/alkyne cycloaddition.

Palladium-catalyzed primary and secondary sp3 C–H bond arylation is reported. The method using diarylhyperiodonium salts as arylation reagents shows good functional group tolerance and proceeds under mild reaction conditions. The KIE experiments show that the C–H bond activation is the rate-determining step.
A novel and efficient method for direct tosyloxylation at the C5 position of 8‐aminoquinolines has been accomplished by nonmetal‐catalyzed C–H functionalization with mild reaction conditions. Although there are some reports of direct tosyloxylation of anilide, this is the first example in which 1,2‐disulfonyl hydrazides and PIDA perform as sulfonate source.

A previously unreported 1,5-diazacyclooctane-palladium(II) complex was synthesized using bis[N,N′-(2-indanolyl)]-1,5-diazacyclooctane, which was readily prepared via a novel [4+4] homocyclization of the unsaturated imine intermediate generated from acrolein and 1-amino-2-indanol. Interestingly, the 1,5-diazacyclooctane-palladium(II) complex self-assembled to form palladium nanoparticles. This approach
