Nitroxide-Mediated Polymerization of Styrene, Butyl Acrylate, or Methyl Methacrylate by Microflow Reactor Technology
摘要:
The nitroxide-mediated radical polymerization (NMP) of styrene and butyl acrylate in microflow tubular reactors was examined. In comparison with polymerizations conducted in a batch reactor under otherwise identical conditions, the microflow setup gave higher conversions and produced polymers with lower polydispersity indices. Block copolymers of the two monomers could be synthesized by connecting two microflow tubular reactors through a T-junction. The NMP of methyl methacrylate in a microflow tubular reactor was also investigated.
Metal free decarboxylative aminoxylation of carboxylic acids using a biphasic solvent system

The smooth oxidative radical decarboxylation of carboxylic acids with TEMPO and other derivatives as radical scavengers is reported. The key to success was the use of a two-phase solvent system to avoid otherwise predominant side reactions such as the oxidation of TEMPO by persulfate and enabled the selective formation of synthetically useful alkoxyamines. The method does not require transition metals

Making a radical change! RadicalCC bond formation by thermal carboaminoxylation of alkoxyamines was used for functionalization of unsaturated macromolecular systems with biologicallyimportantresidues (R; see scheme). The synthesized dendritic mannose‐containing glycopolymers show very strong inhibition of the lectin Concanavalin A as measured by an enzyme‐linked lectin assay.

Site-selective immobilization of dyes and different protein recognizing entities at the surface of zeolite L crystals using mild radical nitroxide exchange reactions is reported. Exposure of these crystals to aqueous protein solutions leads to site-selective immobilization of proteins onto the crystals.
本研究利用温和的硝基自由基交换反应,在沸石 L 晶体表面对染料和不同蛋白质识别实体进行了位点选择性固定。将这些晶体暴露于蛋白质水溶液中可实现蛋白质在晶体上的位点选择性固定。

A novel method for the preparation of functionalized alternating copolymers is presented. Nitroxide‐mediated polymerization of hexafluoroisopropyl acrylate with 7‐octenyl vinylether provides the corresponding alternating polymer, which can be chemically modified using two orthogonal polymer‐analogous reactions. A thiol–ene click reaction followed by amidation provides dual‐functionalized alternating

Highly efficient thermal radical carboaminoxylations of various olefins by using the novel alkoxyamine A to give adducts of type B are described. It is reported that these radical addition reactions can be performed in a microflow reaction system. As compared to conventional batch reaction setup, significantly higher yields are obtained by running carboaminoxylations using the microflow system under analogous conditions.
