  脂肪族格氏试剂与β硫代羰基化合物发生立体选择反应，以高收率得到取代的顺式2-烷硫基或2,2-双（烷硫基）环丙醇。两种类型的式为MeCOC（Me）2 CSR的不可烯化的硫代羰基化合物会经历此反应，其中硫酮（R = Me）和许多二硫代酯（R = SMe，SEt，S iso Pr）。环丙醇的顺式构型已通过1 H NMR-Eu（fod）3进行了分配。环丙烷环的闭合是一致的顺式-1,4-同构加成。
