  approach was developed for the synthesis of acyl‐C‐β‐d‐glucosides and benzyl‐C‐β‐d‐glucosides using the Weinreb amide (WA) functionality. Addition of organometallic reagents followed by chemoselective deprotection afforded the acyl‐C‐β‐d‐glucoside and complete reduction of the same offered the benzyl‐C‐β‐d‐glucosides. The synthesis and biostudies of envisaged C‐glucosides are presented.
