In the formula, X1 and X2 each independently represent an oxygen atom or a chemical single bond, and r1 to r3 each independently represent a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms; Y represents a monovalent group having a specific composition; and n1 and n2 each independently represent an integer of 1 to 4. The present invention provides: a novel polymer useful as a resin component of an optical formed article, a forming material containing the polymer, and a resin formed article obtained by forming the forming material.
