  The present invention provides an improved process for the isolation of oleane compounds from the bark of Terminallia arjuna ( Roxb .). More particularly, the present invention relates to an improved process for the isolation of arjunic acid and its derivates from the bark of Terminallia arjuna ( Roxb .).
