  (3Z)-Isoprelaurefucin has been isolated as a major metabolite from the red alga Laurencia nipponica Yamada, and its structure was confirmed by chemical correlation with isoprelaurefucin. Furthermore, the absolute configuration of isoprelaurefucin was established on the basis of chemical evidence.
