The conjugates of 5′-deoxy-5-fluorocytidine and hydroxycinnamic acids – synthesis, anti-pancreatic cancer activity and molecular docking studies

New conjugates 1–6 containing 5-dFCR and selected hydroxycinnamic acids were synthesized and tested in vitro against pancreatic cancer (PDAC) lines. The ADME properties and molecular docking to CES2 or human albumin were discussed.
Chromogenic conjugates for color-based detection of targets are described. The conjugates comprise a chromogenic moiety such as rhodamine, rhodol or fluorescein. The chromogenic moiety is linked to a peroxidase substrate. The chromogenic conjugates can be used in immunohistochemical analysis and in situ hybridization. The conjugates can be used to detect 1, 2, 3 or more targets in a sample by color.

showed that the 2,5-dihydroxycinnamic acid phenethyl ester (10b) was the best 5-LO inhibitor and was 7-fold more potent than Zileuton (1), the only clinically approved 5-LO inhibitor. 2,5-Dihydroxy substitution was more favorable to 5-LO inhibition since compound 10b is twice as active as CAPE (2) which is a 3,4-dihydroxylcinnamic acid ester.
