phosphorus compound tert-butyl tetraisopropylphosphorodiamidite, prepared from bis(diisopropylamino)chlorophosphine, is an excellent ligand for palladium-catalysed Buchwald–Hartwig amination of aryl- and heteroaryl chlorides and bromides. Based on its ready accessibility and air-stability, this amination protocol is a practical approach to the synthesis of industrially important aryl- and heteroarylamines.
A synthetic strategy has been developed for the synthesis of 2‐dialkylaminoquinolines from easily available quinoline N‐oxides, tertiaryamines, diisopropyl H‐phosphonate and carbon tetrachloride (CCl4) in one pot under metal‐free conditions at room temperature.

Ligand design: Electron-rich silicon containing phosphinanes overcome harsh reaction conditions and long reaction times in Pd-catalyzed coupling of heterocycles. The presented new ligand design based on silicon containing phosphacycles enable rapid C−C and C−Ncoupling of heteroatom-containing substrates under mild conditions with excellent yields.
